Intel designs the Gaudi 3 AI accelerator and Xeon Max CPUs — positioned as cost-efficient alternatives to NVIDIA GPUs for AI inference and training workloads. Unlike AMD and NVIDIA, Intel also operates its own foundry (Intel Foundry Services), which manufactures Intel's mainstream Xeon and Core CPUs in an intra-company self-supply relationship. The Gaudi 3 die, however, is fabricated by TSMC on an advanced node, making Intel both a TSMC customer and an Intel Foundry customer depending on the product.
